Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a physician to join its Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team. Our PM&R team consists of physiatrists with immediate, comprehensive access to collaborating specialties, treatments, and resources. This is a faculty position in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Physician will be responsible for the medical management of rehabilitation and pain needs for spine and musculoskeletal patients, along with teaching and scholarly activity.

Required Qualifications: 

  • MD or DO 

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Fellowship training in Spine/Pain Management 

  • Special skills in Spine/Pain Management 

Job Duties: 

  • Manage spine and musculoskeletal ambulatory clinic patients, along with teaching and scholarly activity. 

  • Provide functional restoration and pain management for patients with musculoskeletal and/or spine rehabilitation medicine needs. 

  • Conduct Spine and Musculoskeletal ambulatory clinics. 

  • Collaborate with spine surgeons and others as appropriate. 

  • Lecture to Rehabilitation residents and students. Attend Grand Rounds as scheduled. 

  • Continually revise and implement the ambulatory curriculum by identifying and expanding ambulatory learning experiences to provide a balanced education in ambulatory medicine. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair.
