Chief of Psychiatry / Full-time Employment Opportunity

Outpatient practice / NO CALL.  Anticipate 75-80% clinic and 20-25% Administrative.  This could change over time.  Tele-psychiatry can be utilized for much of the clinic work if desired.  As the Chief of Psychiatry, will need to be at the hospital on average one or two days per week.  Clinically supervise five (5) psychiatrists.

We are searching for a competent and leadership-minded physician to lead the Behavioral Health team. Position requires completion of an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School and a U.S. accredited Psychiatry residency program. Candidate must be board eligible.  Preferred candidate will be board certified, have at least three to five years of post-residency experience and have department leadership skills for at least the past 12 months.

Ada is located in the green hill country of south-central Oklahoma, 2 hours north of the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area and 70 minutes southeast of Oklahoma City. With a population of approx. 20,000, this growing city has a variety of amenities including local restaurants, shops, movie theater and an increasing number of recognizable branded businesses (i.e., Home Depot, Starbucks Coffee).  The University of Oklahoma in Norman is only one hour away.

About the Medical Center

Chickasaw Nation Medical Center is a 72-bed facility which includes robust inpatient and outpatient services to include inpatient medicine and ICU, ED, general and specialty surgery, anesthesia, podiatry, OB-GYN, pediatrics, primary care, psychiatry, behavioral health, specialty outpatient services to include rheumatology, dermatology, cardiology, nephrology, infectious disease, and infusion clinic, endocrinology and specialty diabetes care, pathology, optometry and ophthalmology, inpatient and outpatient pharmacy,  audiology, residency clinic, imaging, pulmonary services and social work.
