Join an established group of 10 neonatologists and 14 neonatal advanced practice providers to provide neonatal care in Mahoning Valley.  Akron Children’s partners with Mercy Health at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital to provide delivery room coverage to approximately 3,400 deliveries annually.  The maternity service is in the same facility as our single-patient room 25-bed Level III NICU which opened in April 2014.  The group also provides coverage for an 18-bed level II special care nursery located at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley Beeghly Campus in Boardman.  Our team provides comprehensive treatment plans for optimum patient care, attends high risk deliveries, and manages and facilitates HFOV, and cooling.  Neonatal patients requiring ECMO, or surgery require transfer out.  Our Neonatology program also participates in the Vermont Oxford Network.
