CL Psychiatry, Division Director - Brown Academic Appointment

Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital & Newport Hospital, affiliated hospitals of Lifespan Physician Group and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University have an opening for a Division Director of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry which reports directly to the Psychiatrist-in-Chief. As Division Director you will also work closely with the Vice President of Behavioral Health on all administrative, operational, and financial matters and act as the liaison across the Lifespan system for all clinical and academic matters within their division. The primary role is to unite services and personnel into one division to enhance collaboration and improve care. Primary clinical duties include consultation-liaison to our inpatient medical and surgical floors and the opportunity to work in outpatient integrated care settings (transplant, oncology, immunology, neurology, and primary care).
 
About the Opportunity:

• Supervise a staff of 3 physician team leads at each Lifespan Hospital: RI Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Newport Hospital
• Time is split 80% clinical, 20% administrative
• Clinical time can be split inpatient CL and mixed inpatient-ambulatory CL opportunities
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to grow our CL service and fellowship program
• Academic faculty appointment offered at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
• Supervise and mentor Brown University trainees including CL fellows, residents and medical students

The Requirements:

• Board certified in general adult psychiatry
• Board certified in CL Psychiatry preferred but not required
