This position will be part of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Family Medicine Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Joining a strong team of 22 Physician Faculty members, 3 PhD Faculty members and 4 Nurse Practitioners. The current Sports Medicine Team is made up of 3 Faculty members and 2 Fellows. You will work directly with fellows including clinical supervision as well as host it's own Family Medicine Sports Medicine (MSK) Clinic.

The Texas Tech Physicians Family Medicine Clinic is committed to providing high-quality patient care! This team hosts a team-oriented environment where the patient always comes first. Candidates should have strong clinical and educational skills, a demonstrated commitment to our TTUHSC Values, and proven excellence in mentoring, leadership, and administrative abilities. We are looking for a candidate with musculoskeletal (MSK) experience, including interventional and diagnostic skills. We also prefer proficiency in MSK ultrasound, MSK procedures, and the use of orthobiological products. 

Major/Essential Functions
  • Practice Sports/MSK Medicine
  • Practice General Family Medicine
  • Teach Sports Medicine Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students
  • Provide Sports Medicine care for local NCAA Division 1 and Division 2  - This includes care in athletic training rooms and sharing faculty coverage at athletic events.
  • Produce presentations for Sports Medicine lectures to various learners including Sports Medicine Fellows, Family Medicine and Pediatrics and PM&R Residents, Medical Students, Masters of Athletic Training students, and Texas Tech Athletic Training Undergraduate Students.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Sports Medicine didactics sessions.
  • Actively produce scholarly works including case reports, publishable articles, and book chapters, and mentor fellows with scholarly project work.
