Ob/Gyn Physicians - UMass Memorial - Worcester, Leominster & Shrewsbury, MA

Worcester, MA

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks Ob/Gyn Generalists to join our dynamic team. We welcome and support physician caregivers from all academic ranks to apply and join us in our relentless pursuit of healing.

The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology is the largest division of the UMass OB/GYN department. It currently includes 15 providers, including 11 MDs and 5 nurse practitioners. The Generalist division’s missions include providing comprehensive care to women across the reproductive age span, within the discipline of obstetrics and gynecology, a commitment to the educational mission of the University of Massachusetts Medical School with involvement in the medical student and resident curriculums of the institution and participation in ongoing clinical research of women’s health care. Providers have extensive experience with a full range of surgical care and continue to expand their skills to provide evolving care options.

UMass Memorial Health and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts welcome OB/GYN providers to autonomously practice within the full scope of their specialty/subspecialty and licenses, and to vigilantly and continuously promote the opportunity to support healthy lives for all individuals seeking obstetric, gynecologic, and reproductive health care from prevention to treatment, and their families.

The division’s faculty see patients in two ambulatory settings. One is located on the Memorial campus of UMass Memorial Medical Center, providing a convenient link to the services of the Maternity Unit and the larger institution. On-site obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound is available to patients. The other is located at Northborough Crossing in Northborough, Massachusetts. Complementing our clinical practices, the division provides consultative services to Family Medicine practices in the region, and family planning services at Planned Parenthood in Worcester.

Caregiver Requirements:

  • Passionate for supporting the academic mission. We are educators for the UMass Chan Medical School and our own OB/GYN residents (20). Our resident compliment will be increasing to 24 over the next several years.
  • Seeking a complex, rewarding and busy clinical practice amongst a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
  • Comfortable with the full range of general OB/GYN practice.
  • The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology welcomes and values applicants who are committed to promoting our values of anti-racism, equity, and inclusivity. We see these values as a vital part of preparing tomorrow’s physicians to provide care, cure diseases and, indeed, to help them learn and grow as active members of a multicultural society.
