Breast Surgeon

Capital Health is seeking a Breast Surgeon in Hopewell, NJ and Newtown, PA. 

Capital Health is seeking a fellowship trained Breast Surgeon (Breast Surgical Oncology or Surgical Oncology fellowship) to join its well established Center for Comprehensive Breast Care.  The physician must be board certified or board eligible. The NAPBC certified center is growing and expanding in Mercer County in Central NJ and Bucks County in adjacent Southeastern PA.  This is an employed position through the Capital Health Medical Group which is a multi-specialty group comprised of over 500 physicians and advance practice providers.

The Center for Comprehensive Breast Care offers multispecialty physician and support services to our over 250 new breast cancer patients as well as survivors.  This includes dedicated cancer nurse navigators, financial navigators, genetics, social work, dieticians, wellness, and transportation services.  The plastic surgery department offers a full array of reconstructive services including implant based and free flap reconstruction.  All subspecialty breast cancer team members see patients at the same location.

The offices have the support of an MA, nurse, and PA.  Ultrasounds are available in each office.

Position Overview:

• Call: Physician shall provide call coverage for Capital Health’s breast surgery practice patients on a 1:2 (24 hour per day) basis, as needed, and subject to excused absences and the established Breast Surgery call schedule.
• Supporting Staff: RN, MA, Reception, Physician Assistant for OR support and office visit appointments as independent billing provider

• Average of 250 procedures per year
• Assist Capital Health in maintaining it designation as a Center of Excellence in both the region and nationally
• The Qualifying candidate shall perform a full scope of breast consultative and surgical services both inpatient and outpatient at Capital Health's facilities and at one or more off-campus location

 Location:

Hopewell is in the central region of New Jersey, just outside the state’s capital.  The main hospital is about 1 hour from Philadelphia, New York City, and the Jersey Shore where there are an assortment of beach towns.  The main hospital is located in Hopewell with off sites in nearby Bordentown NJ and Newtown PA.
