General Surgeon | Mercy Health | Tiffin, OH

Position: General Surgeon
Location: Tiffin Hospital, Tiffin, OH
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:
Tiffin Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate General Surgeon to join our esteemed surgical team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with access to cutting-edge technology, including a Da Vinci Robot. The General Surgeon will perform both elective and emergent surgeries while maintaining a commitment to providing exceptional care to the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general surgery procedures, including elective and emergency surgeries.
  • Provide comprehensive preoperative, operative, and postoperative care to patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1:4) with approximately 10 gratis days per month.
  • Offer expert consultation and guidance on surgical care within the hospital.
  • Maintain patient documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Ohio.
  • Robotic surgery experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality patient care and collaboration within a team environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Office hours in Tiffin (16 hours per week) and Willard (8-12 hours per week).
  • Surgery block time at Tiffin and Willard Hospitals.
