Musculoskeletal Imaging Section Chief -Faculty Position - Department of Radiology

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Radiology Department is seeking an experienced radiologist to serve as Section Chief for our Musculoskeletal Radiology Team. This is an opportunity to lead a team of subspecialized radiologists to build upon and grow our musculoskeletal imaging services.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading the Musculoskeletal Section, including developing goals, process improvement initiatives, workflows, and growth plans.
  • Recruiting, hiring, supervising, and mentoring physicians, advanced practice providers, and fellows.
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care and exceptional patient experience.
  • Representing the section at departmental, hospital, and system-level meetings.
  • Overseeing and continuing strong collaborative efforts with orthopedic surgery, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine, and rehabilitation services.
  • Driving process improvement, clinical integration, and adoption of evidence-based practices.
  • Overseeing quality, safety, education, research, and fellowship programs.
  • Active participation in the department’s clinical and academic leadership team.

  • The Department of Radiology is recognized as a forward-thinking team that continues to expand with a dynamic multi-site hospital and clinic network in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. MCW Radiology offers a hybrid model that allows faculty to read and work in both the academic and community settings.
  • The Department of Radiology provides post-graduate fellowships, diagnostic radiology residency, interventional radiology residency, medical physics residency and elective clinical rotations for medical students and physician associate students.
  • The Department of Radiology currently has and is willing to explore creative staffing opportunities to meet our growing demand.

  • Collaboration is the foundation for how we work within our department and with others across the organization.  Our Radiology team includes over 110 clinical faculty radiologists, 11 imaging science faculty, 15 instructors/fellows, 45 residents, 16 advanced practice providers, and 69 support staff.
