NORTON CHILDREN’S EMERGENCY MEDICINE, AFFILIATED WITH THE UOFL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, is seeking multiple board-certified/board-eligible pediatric emergency medicine physicians to join its team. The selected candidates will function as part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of professionals who are leaders in their field locally and nationally.

This practice provides care at three pediatric emergency department locations in the Louisville metropolitan area, including Norton Children’s Hospital, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center; Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital; and Norton Children’s Medical Center. These facilities provide care for nearly 140,000 patient visits from across the region, including patients arriving via the “Just for Kids” Transport Team, a critical care transportation service with ground, airplane and helicopter capability.

About the Position

  • Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates.
    • For candidates coming out of fellowship, we offer up to $100,000 recruitment incentive, and as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) health care system, may allow candidates to qualify for federal student loan forgiveness
    • For experienced candidates relocating into the market, we offer a retention bonus of up to $60,000
  • For interested candidates, an academic appointment is available through the UofL School of Medicine, combining clinical, education and research focuses. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Opportunity to work with and teach medical students, residents from pediatrics, emergency medicine and family medicine, and fellows in our robust fellowship program.
  • Norton Children's Emergency Medicine has access to 24/7 in-house ultrasound, including point-of-care ultrasound, supported by three fellowship-trained advanced imaging specialists.
  • Work alongside pediatric acute care nurse practitioners and pediatric physician assistants.
