Job Description
- The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center has a long history of excellence and is one of the premier programs in the region. St. Joseph is the only cardiac surgery program in Baltimore county, and a referral center for complex valvular, aortic, and coronary surgery. Qualifications
- Looking for candidates with outstanding surgical skills with 3+ years experience and demonstrated proficiency in coronary bypass, valvular surgery, and aortic surgery.
- Transcatheter experience a plus.
- This role requires applicants who excel in a team-based approach to complex cardiac care.
- 1:3 call
- Applicants must be board certified

- Has an on call 24/7 Rapid Response Team, composed of a critical care physician, intensive care nurse and respiratory therapist, to prevent codes and reduce mortality when a patient's condition deteriorates.
- Has more than 700 physicians on the medical staff, representing more than 50 medical specialties. Employs approximately 2,300 nurses, allied healthcare professionals and staff.
- Includes the UM St. Joseph Medical Group, which consists of 100+ employed physicians and mid-level practitioners who are aligned with UM St. Joseph Medical Center to offer the community a solid foundation of primary care and various specialties.
