With great enthusiasm, we would like to announce the Duke Department of Pediatrics-Division of Emergency Medicine is seeking an outstanding emergency medicine physician to deliver the highest quality care to patients and their families. Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM). Candidates must also have or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license.

  • The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division currently consists of thirteen faculty.
  • Their academic interests include quality improvement, medical education, ultrasound, simulation, procedural sedation, informatics, advocacy, disparities and resuscitation.
  • Education of learners at the resident and medical student levels is an integral and essential component of the division's mission.
  • The Duke Children’s Hospital is a “hospital within a hospital,” with in-patient facilities housed within the Duke Central Tower and the Duke University Hospital, including a 20 bed pediatric intensive care unit, a 20 bed pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, and a 67 bed neonatal intensive care unit.
