Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking an OB/GYN physician leader to guide the evolution of our women’s health service into a comprehensive service line with subspecialty support.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a 411-bed regional tertiary care and ACS-verified Level II trauma center serving a patient population of approximately 500,000 in the northern two-thirds of Maine. Our multi-disciplinary women’s health team, including nine physicians, two certified nurse midwives, two nurse practitioners and skilled support staff, is committed to providing full-spectrum care to all patients with high levels of patient safety, quality and service.
Our modern facilities include a newly redesigned Women & Infants unit with twenty-five private patient rooms, seven labor and delivery suites, two triage rooms, and two state-of-the-art OB/GYN surgical suites all adjacent to our new state-of-the-art Level III NICU with 29 private family suites. Our office is located on the main hospital campus allowing for efficient workflow between the office, operating rooms, and Labor & Delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring established expertise in high-risk obstetrics and comprehensive gynecologic care to patient populations impacted by health care disparities. The ideal candidate will also leverage prior leadership experience to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration utilizing an inclusive approach to partner with our private practitioners, family medicine residents and faculty, midwives and students, with an emphasis on education across the entire care team.
