Piedmont Healthcare is currently seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Surgical Oncologist physician to support our rapidly growing and evolving program at our Augusta, GA campus. This opportunity will allow the candidate to join a practicing physician and team in a well-established and very busy practice setting while providing excellent patient care. The ideal physician will have the passion to help make Piedmont Healthcare and our patients better, and, to help support and expand the clinical excellence known that defines the Piedmont Healthcare family.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform hospital rounds on inpatients to include surgical floor and intensive care units
  • Communicate patient condition changes to physician and coordinate care
  • Interact with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology and other service lines in hospital
  • Answer ER calls
  • Perform H&Ps, consults, and write progress notes on inpatients
  • Assist with care of patients in the clinic along with performing procedures in the hospital setting
