Bon Secours Mercy Health, a leading healthcare provider in Toledo, OH, is seeking a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join our OBGYN service line. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our diverse patient population while contributing to resident education and fostering a collaborative healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Conduct outpatient consults and ultrasounds, with an openness to occasionally seeing high-risk inpatients.
  • Utilize virtual visits for consults as an additional option for patient care.

 

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Collaborate with inpatient teams and Ob/Gyns to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Be available for phone consultations with OBGYN generalists for admitted and high-risk patients.
  • Consult and provide care for admitted high-risk patients when necessary.

 

Procedures:

  • Perform specialized procedures such as amniocentesis and other MFM-specific interventions.
  • Optional opportunity to expand procedural scope to include CVS or other relevant procedures.

 

Educational Engagement:

  • Actively engage in resident education, providing valuable mentorship and teaching opportunities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment while working closely with resident physicians.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for a 4-day work week (10-hour days).

 

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Active medical license in the state of Ohio.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to medical education.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
