PRACTICE
Desirable Practice Setting:
- State’s only Level 1 trauma center and organ transplant program
- Heavy clinical focus, minimal academic requirements
- Cases range from routine CABG surgeries to advanced heart transplants and VAD placements
- Robust opportunities to engage in intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and a variety of thoracic surgeries
- Liver transplant program
Work-Life Balance:
- Non-clinical time allocated for educational, administrative, and research responsibilities
- Low call-back rate with call schedules divided equally among the team (4-6 weeks/year)
Culture & Support:
- Collaborative team environment with 6 cardiac anesthesiologists
- Assist in training 32 residents and 2 fellows
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Total compensation range: $500K-$550K
- Annual CME allowance: $5,750
- Tuition reimbursement for physician, spouse, and family

QUALIFICATIONS
- Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
- Eligibility for Mississippi medical licensure
- Accepting J1 and Alternate Pathway candidates
