Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking to hire an OBGYN physician for Bon Secours Richmond OBGYN for St. Mary’s Hospital in 2024! Join a large group of 4 providers and 4 midwives in this practice with additional support from 1 MD and 1 Midwife from the Richmond Community office. Each provider has nursing support assigned individually for continuity of care as well as other clinical support within the team to maintain timely workflow and coverage. There is on site ultrasound service available for patients as ordered by the provider to manage both the provider and ultrasound visit on the same day. Triage staff is available to talk with patients during office hours and schedule urgent visits as needed. There is blocked OR time for surgeries and office schedules can be blocked as needed to support surgical case volume including special blocks for robotic surgeries. The night call schedule is rotated between a total of 6 physicians with a separate Midwife schedule shared with 5 midwives. St. Mary’s hospital has on site hospitalist coverage available for nights and weekends with midwife support to maintain continuity of care for patients and support work life balance for the physicians and midwives. The practice is located on the beautiful St. Mary’s hospital campus. The campus is near Willow lawn that offers shopping and dining.

Daily Work Hours: Fulltime Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm

Hospital Credentialing: St. Mary’s Hospital
Average Patients per day: 20-30
Patient Age Range: 15 plus
Special Skills Training Required: General OB-GYN and high-risk OB, ability to perform circumcisions & operative deliveries as indicated. Must have a willingness to work collaboratively with midwives. Must be professional, compassionate and a team player.
EMR: EPIC with telemedicine.
Practice Support: Each provider has their own designated support with coverage in place as needed. Working with 4 MD’s and 4 Midwifes.
