Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Director to oversee the Inpatient Medical Group at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. The Medical Director functions as a hospitalist with operational and strategic responsibilities at their designated work site. The Site Medical Director reports to and works collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer supporting IMG and the hospitalists at their work site to operationalize strategic initiatives for the practice of Hospital Medicine. The Medical Director develops strategic initiatives in conjunction with the Corporate Director of Inpatient Medicine. The Medical Director's essential functions fall under four broad categories:

The Medical Director must be able to develop and apply forward-thinking strategies that position hospitalist services at Orlando Health for success amidst changing healthcare dynamics.

Orlando Health Physicians’ Inpatient Medicine Group (IMG) provides a hospitalist program at Orlando Health facilities in support of the organization’s focus on quality and meeting the needs of our patients and community. The program ensures clinically integrated care, centered on best practices and evidenced-based medicine, which deliver superior care to our patients. IMG provides hospitalist services to Orlando Regional Medical Center, Dr. P. Philips Hospital, South Seminole Hospital, Health Central Hospital and South Lake Hospital. The staffing model at all sites is currently seven days of 12-hour shifts followed by seven days off. Staffing includes nocturnists, swing admitters and extenders at all sites.
