Clinical Child Psychologist
The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is recruiting a psychologist with expertise in child assessment and intervention. The primary focus of the position will be providing psychological assessment and evidence-based intervention for a range of presenting concerns in a hospital-based psychology clinic. Referrals will come from the community, as well as from a variety of Children’s Mercy medical subspecialties.
Common referral concerns include inattention, problems with learning, developmental and intellectual differences, depression, anxiety, and disruptive behavior. This role will include multidisciplinary collaborations with psychiatrists, developmental pediatricians, advanced practice nursing professionals, clinical social workers, and primary care physicians.
The position will include teaching and supervising in the hospital’s pediatric medical and psychology training programs, including our APA-accredited psychology internship, and include protected academic time for service, research, and other scholarly activities. This position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience.
