Pathology - Sanford Health - Bismarck, ND

Join a group of 6 pathologists with subspeciality training in Cytology, Hematopathology, Surgical pathology, Transfusion medicine and Dermatopathology. We are looking for a board-certified hematopathologist as our hematopathologist is going to go part-time soon.

The job would consist of doing both hemeatopathology (lymph nodes and bone marrows) as well as surgical pathology.  There is a minor component of GYN and Non-GYN cytology.  In 2023 we did around 250 bone marrows and over 19,000 surgicals.  Bone marrows are currently split between two pathologists. There would be participation in regional lab-directorship and clinical lab responsibilities that are evenly split amongst the group. We have two PAs that do our grossing and perform frozen sections. There are no autopsies. Dermatologist generated skin cases are signed out by the dermatopathologist. Daily case assignments are based on an equity-point system.

This position offers an excellent work-life balance and a collegial group environment. We are looking for a like-minded pathologist with good communication skills to join our group in a full-time capacity.

Sanford Health offers a nationally competitive compensation plan with an additional physician benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, paid time away, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance
