Swedish Medical Center is seeking a full-time, Fellowship trained, Interventional Pulmonologist to join the Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, Washington. This is a great opportunity to join a comprehensive and multidisciplinary team at a large and state-of-the-art community based academic Cancer institute that offers research opportunities. The division of Interventional Pulmonology was established within the department of Thoracic Surgery in 2005 creating one of the first national models for dedicated Interventional Pulmonology within a multidisciplinary thoracic Setting. The department of Thoracic surgery employs five thoracic surgeons with numerous active research projects and clinical support from two non-ACGME fellows, general surgery residents, and advanced practice providers. Interventional pulmonology is fully integrated into thoracic surgery providing all services related to early detection, staging and diagnostics as well as palliation providing dedicated airway and pleural services. The provider will join the current team providing both inpatient and outpatient care with the possibility to participate in the general pulmonary inpatient consult service, if interested. Provider will need to be MD or DO fellowship trained in Interventional Pulmonology, preference will be given to providers with 2-5 years practice experience.
