Summary:
Provide assistance to the Chief Medical Officer with oversight and coordination of quality comprehensive medical care to a variety of center patients, in an efficient and cost-effective manner, for both the health centers and the organization.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health Administration or related field preferred
- Two years of experience working in a management capacity in a health care institution or agency
- Proof of successful National Board completion or certification
- Meets requirements of Medical Staff membership
- Previous Outpatient experience preferred
- Current BLS
- Certification to perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for the Health Care Professional (CPR) and AED through courses that follow the guidelines from the American Heart Association and Red Cross (cognitive and skills evaluations)
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques
- Ability to meet and deal effectively with clients, associates, and the general public
- Basic business English, spelling, and punctuation skills
- Basic computer efficiency
- Valid AZ driver's license

- Competency in dealing with people of various cultures and social status
- Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety for all specialty behavioral health locations
What You'll Be Doing Day to Day:
- Serve as primary liaison between their Health Center and Chief Medical Officer
- Assist with developing, coordinating, and enforcing medical policies and procedures; educate clinical staff on rationale and need for adherence to medical policies
- Implement the Patient Centered Medical Home model including improving clinical workflows and patient satisfaction
- Supervise, monitor, audit, and evaluate Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants in their health center and other assigned health centers
- Assist with recruitment of medical staff, including interviewing candidates
- Assist with the development and coordination of diagnosis-related practices and guidelines
- Work cooperatively with the Health Center Practice Managers and contribute to the evaluation of the Practice Manager in conjunction with the Director of Operations
- Lead regular meetings of the medical staff at their health center
- Assist in the maintenance of clinical coverage when needed
- Meet regularly with the Chief Medical Officer and other medical leaders to improve clinical care and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer
