Microsurgery Fellow
Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center
Location: Phoenix, AZ
The Division of Surgical Oncology at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is actively recruiting a Microsurgery Fellow candidate to start July 2024 in a newly established 12-month, Non-ACGME, multi-campus, Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship program in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
This Fellow will be a part of a national leader in multidisciplinary cancer care, education, and discovery, with an established and growing Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery section lead by a team of renowned microsurgery experts.
This fellowship is tailored to provide advanced postgraduate training, emphasizing microsurgical techniques for reconstructive surgery in cancer patients. Banner MD Anderson stands out as an ideal setting for board-eligible plastic surgeons seeking specialized training in microvascular and complex reconstructive surgery across various cancer types.
The scope of reconstruction encompasses microsurgical and non-microsurgical approaches, spanning breast reconstruction, head and neck, extremity, and trunk reconstruction. Additionally, the fellow will gain exposure to super-microsurgery via a comprehensive surgical lymphedema program, as well as melanoma and non-melanoma cutaneous malignancies, including Mohs reconstruction. Ample time and resources are allocated for clinical research, and the fellow will have the opportunity to participate in educational activities at the MD Anderson Cancer Center micro fellowship in Houston, including a clinical rotation.
