Physician - Gastroenterologist – Advanced Endoscopist

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join our advanced endoscopy section. Position Highlights:

• Join a team of 4 physicians already offering comprehensive advanced endoscopy services, including: complex ERCP, interventional EUS, complex tissue resection including ESD
• High volume center that attracts referrals from the entire Gulf Coast region – last year group performed >1100 ERCPs and >1600 EUS procedures
• Ideal candidate would be trained in ESD procedures
• Perform endoscopic procedures in dedicated interventional endoscopy suites with advanced endoscopy dedicated support staff
• Join a collegial, 23-physician, GI group comprised general GIs, hepatologists, IBD subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists
• Strong support from collaborative specialties— including surgery, pathology, oncology, and interventional radiology
• Call equally shared in advanced endoscopy group – focused only on advanced endoscopy (no general GI call coverage)
• Opportunity to teach – Institution supports a strong GI fellowship (3 trainees/year) and Internal Medicine residency programs
• GI-dedicated clinical research infrastructure available
