This is a time of tremendous growth for our medical school and health system. As part of this new enterprise, Atrium Health has announced $3.4 billion in planned investments in our health system and the communities we serve. The Wake Forest School of Medicine has become the academic core of the new enterprise that now includes all of Advocate Health, and progress is underway to build a second campus of the school of medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina. The growth of the school of medicine will expand existing academic research capabilities and opportunities for clinical trials across a large, diverse market with some of the nation’s leading medical experts.
