Brown Emergency Medicine Physicians in partnership with Lifespan Physician Group has an opening for an experienced hospitalist with an interest in working in our CDU (clinical decision unit) at Rhode Island Hospital.

In this position you will work as a member of the emergency department with experienced NPs and PAs as well as a world-class team of nurses caring for patients who are not well enough for immediate discharge but are not sick enough to warrant full inpatient admission.


About the Job

  • Work 14 shifts per month (typically 3 one week, 4 the next)
  • Part time opportunities available with a commitment of 7 shifts per month
  • Shifts are  either 7a-4p, 4p-Midnight and will be paired with an experienced NP or PA
  • 17-20 beds
  • No call
  • Potential for a clinical academic appointment to Brown University
  • Fully equipped ED with almost every imaginable resource available
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible
  • H1-B visa friendly
  • EMR is Epic
