Capital Region Medical Center, located in Jeffferson City, MO, a part of the University of Missouri Health System, is recruiting an Interventional Cardiologist to join our team in 2026. This opportunity is ideal for those candidates seeking work-life balance and interested in a community-based practice. 

Our Opportunity, at a glance:

  • $700K earning potential
  • With 4 clinic half-days, 1:5 STEMI call, and 1:9 general call, you will have time to enjoy all the amenities our community and those surrounding it have to offer. 
  • Join 5 Interventional Cardiologists, 4 General Cardiologists, and 1 EP
  • Work out of University of Missouri’s Capital Region Medical Center (100 bed hospital) and SSM Health’s St. Mary’s Hospital (140 bed hospital) both in Jefferson City
  • Both hospitals are Level II STEMI hospitals
  • Expect 80-100 PCI per year.
  • State of the art equipment. Two-year-old cath labs include IVUS, Shockwave Lithotripsy, Drug Coated Balloons, Rotablation, Impella. 
  • CT surgery back up is 30 minutes away. Transfers are stream-lined and fast.
  • Academic center (University of Missouri Health Center) is 30 minutes drives to the north.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • In possession of, or able to secure a MO License
  • ABIM Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology

Capital Region Medical Center is a full-service health care system that encompasses a full-service acute care hospital, the area's most expansive clinic system, a state-of-the-art Cancer Program at the Goldschmidt Cancer Center, a hospital-based fitness facility, a home health agency, and the only hospital-based inpatient rehabilitation center in the community. The hospital has 100 acute care beds and 14 rehabilitation beds. Referrals come from our 160+ employed providers who staff a system of 36 clinics in an 8-county service area of 225K people.
