Responsibilities

Peyton Manning Children's Hospital Evansville is looking for a part time Pediatric Endocrinology Physician for our Center for Children.

Responsibilities: 

• Strong state - wide Pediatrics service line 
• Outpatient clinic practice (no night or weekend call) - inpatient consultations only 
• Established Pediatric Multi Specialty Clinic including full time Peds Gastroenterology Physician and a dedicated pediatric registered dietitian and integrated psychologists
• 22 bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit with Pediatric Hospitalists; 7 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatric Intensivists 
• Level II Pediatric Trauma Verification 
• Emergency Room area dedicated for children with dedicated providers 
• 32 Bed NICU with 5 Neonatologists 
• Behavioral based outpatient Feeding Clinic 
• Outpatient Behavioral Health Program with pediatric psychologists and LCSWs
• Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Program with an indoor/outdoor Sensory Therapy Playground
• Outpatient Family Navigators to ensure continuity of care 
• Ronald McDonald House on campus 

This position is a unique practice model offering great work life balance in an outpatient/consultative role with no after-hours call responsibilities. Our Clinic is currently covered four days/month by a Pediatric Endocrinologist from Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Indianapolis. The growth is needed to increase this to a Part Time position. The clinic has a nurse practitioner who also sees patients. There are two pediatric psychologists who are also available to patients, working closely with the endocrinology care team to provide a multidisciplinary approach to diabetes care by way of an integrated diabetes access clinic. Within the hospital vicinity, there is access to a laboratory, imaging facility, and endocrinology specialized tests (i.e. growth hormone stimulation test, ACTH stimulation test, GnRH stimulation test). Our new physician will be taking over a part time practice with an existing patient base predominantly from parts of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
