Holy Cross Medical Group (HCMG), Holy Cross Hospital, and the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute have a phenomenal full-time opportunity for a fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology Physician, (Vascular board preferred but not required), to replace a retiring physician. This opportunity is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The selected candidate will work within the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute. This hospital-based, multi-disciplinary neuroscience practice specializes in Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Spine and Pain Management. Sub-specialty Neurology includes Stroke, Neuro degenerative, ALS, MS, Parkinson's Disease, Movement Disorders, Migraines, Botox, and Epilepsy.
The selected candidate will work primarily in the hospital as a Neuro-Hospitalist and be a key physician within the comprehensive Stroke team that includes two Neuroendovascular Interventionalists, two Neurocritical Care Intensivists, and a seasoned Stroke Coordinator.
The Stroke program has been recognized by the American Heart/Stroke Association as a Gold Plus Center since 2012. The program has also received Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus certification since 2014. In 2018, the program achieved Thrombectomy Stroke Center (TSC) Certification Accreditation by the Joint Commission and was accredited in 2021.
The selected candidate will work with 13 physicians and three advanced practice providers in the practice. There will also be a dedicated hospital PA and occasional medical residents from University of Miami. This opportunity is 90% inpatient and 10% outpatient. The candidate would work one week on, one week off to include stroke call. There will also be an opportunity to do research and some office-based clinics will be available.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for a Neurohospitalist to build a practice within a multi-disciplinary Neuroscience Institute within Holy Cross Medical Group.
