Job Title: Gynecologist – Gynecological Oncology
Location: Mercy Health, Toledo, OH
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5-8 hours per day

Job Description:
Mercy Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Gynecologist with a focus on Gynecological Oncology to join our expanding team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a newly established Gynecological Oncology program while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting. The position will allow for the development of personalized care plans and the ability to work alongside a supportive team of healthcare providers to ensure exceptional care for women facing gynecological cancers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive gynecological care, specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of gynecological cancers (ovarian, uterine, cervical, etc.).
  • Perform surgeries, including minimally invasive procedures, for gynecological oncology patients.
  • Lead the development of individualized treatment plans for patients, involving chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical options.
  • Interpret lab results, imaging, and pathology reports to guide patient care decisions.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with referring providers and facilitate multidisciplinary consultations.
  • Participate in the continued growth of the gynecological oncology program, contributing to program protocols and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a subspecialty focus in Gynecologic Oncology.
  • Strong expertise in gynecological oncology procedures and treatments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex oncology cases, including both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving program and contribute to its growth.

Teaching Opportunities:

  • Engage with medical residents and fellows, providing mentorship and teaching opportunities in gynecological oncology.
