Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician - BDMC

Banner Children’s Specialists (BCS), a multispecialty group within Banner Health, is actively recruiting for a staff Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join our team on the campus of Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center (BCMC) in Mesa, AZ. BCMS provides fully integrated pediatric services to the greater Phoenix area. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who prefers working in a collaborative, integrated system.

BCMC seeks candidates with the following qualifications:

·        Pediatric Residency and Fellowship trained in Pediatric Infectious Disease

·        Experience preferred but new graduates will be considered.

·        ABMS Board certification or eligibility required.

·        Eligible for licensure in Arizona

Practice Details:

·        Primarily located at BDMC

·        Role will include treating congenital infections, surgical abscesses, trauma infections, and quality & safety committee work.

·        M-F 7-5; inpatient and telemedicine consults

·        Call required: TBD.

• As a member of the Children’s Hospital Association, BCMC is a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center
• 120 bed Level 3 NICU staffed 24/7 by Neonatologists.
• Over half of the babies delivered in Arizona are born in a Banner hospital.
• Well-trained social services staff and numerous integrative therapy programs ensure a complete range of care for children.
• Child-friendly atmosphere accented by soothing colors and dedicated play areas, as well as a volunteer dog therapy program.

Founded in 1878 by Mormon pioneers, the city of Mesa was built on a plateau overlooking an expansive valley. The city has numerous historic areas including the Temple District. This area of town surrounds the Later Day Saints(LDS or Mormon) Temple, which was built in 1927.
