Brief Description

As a Urologist, you’ll provide the top level of care for Soldiers and their Families with diseases, injuries, or disorders of the reproductive and urinary systems. You’ll also perform medical research, receive advanced training in your field, and start your medical career as an Officer in the distinguished U.S. Army healthcare community.

  • Army Reserve (Part-Time - 38 days a year)
  • Loan Repayment: $250,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP).
  • Sign-on Bonus: $45,000 annual signing bonus for 2, 3, or 4 years of service.
  • Incentive Pay: $51,000 paid annually for each successful year of service. Must have completed residency program in your specialty. $6,000 additional annual bonus as long as board certification maintained.
  • Location: Continue your civilian occupation serving time at a local unit within 50 miles of your location. Transition to different locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
  • S. citizenship or Permanent Residence (Reserve only).
