The Department of Radiology at Duke Health seeks highly qualified applicants for the position of Vice Chair for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Duke Radiology believes that equity, diversity, and inclusion are key drivers of excellence and accelerate our ability to innovate, solve complex problems, and elevate our patient care experience.

The Vice Chair for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion will be part of the Departmental Executive Committee and will work closely with the Chair and departmental Vice Chairs and Health System leaders in planning and executing initiatives. This individual will liaise with the Duke School of Medicine Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Vice Dean for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and the community of EDI Vice Chairs and leaders within the School of Medicine. The Vice Chair will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, approaches, and partnerships in support of departmental objectives around faculty development and diversity including but not limited to leadership development, faculty recruitment and retention, and faculty wellness and burnout mitigation. The Vice Chair will ensure our workforce comprises individuals of diverse race and ethnicity and gender from various backgrounds and socioeconomic environments.

Wellness at work is also part of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The Vice Chair will also assist the Department in its various activities related to wellness at work.

This Vice Chair position is an excellent leadership opportunity suitable for a mid to senior faculty member with a proven track record of leading diversity initiatives and leading physicians.

Qualified candidates will be radiologists with fellowship training in a subspecialty of Radiology. Ideal applicants will have a minimum of seven years clinical experience and demonstrated success in leading diversity efforts and leading physicians. Rank and academic track at Duke will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
