Maternal Fetal Medicine - Clinical Faculty Opportunity at Rush in Chicago

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a full-time BC Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist at the Assistant/Associate or Full Professor level to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty.

The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center includes academic generalists, hospitalists, and sub-specialists in maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology/infertility, and family planning. The department works closely with advanced practice providers and colleagues in neonatology, anesthesiology, other medical specialties, nursing, and ancillary staff.

The division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Rush is a consult-based practice that provides comprehensive services for all aspects of high-risk pregnancy care with deliveries performed by hospitalist group with 24-hour coverage of labor and delivery. The division is seeking a successful candidate to contribute to providing multidisciplinary, value-based maternal fetal medicine care for our high-risk obstetric population. The division seeks additional faculty with interest in clinical care, research and education of medical students, residents and fellows. The practice is active with prenatal diagnostic procedures including amniocentesis and CVS for the area healthcare networks. The Fetal Neonatal Center supports the division as a referral center for complex fetal anomalies and offers fetal procedures such as intrauterine transfusion, shunt placement, selective/multifetal reduction, amnioreductions and complex deliveries. The ultrasound unit is supported with E10 ultrasound machines with Viewpoint software fully integrated to Epic EMR. Our team is made up of excellent sonographers, genetic counselors, nurse coordinators and support staff. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to take on leadership positions at the divisional, departmental and institutional levels.

Rush University Medical Center  labor and delivery is a level III perinatal hospital and is a co-director site for the Illinois Department of Health Perinatal Network. Rush University Medical Center performs over 2,500 deliveries annually and a referral center for area hospitals. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center has supported the role of perinatal network director through its Maternal Fetal Medicine division and has maintained its reputation as an outstanding level III perinatal referral center for more than 20 years.
