RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time pediatric pulmonologist for a unique opportunity in northern NJ

At Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (CHONJ), we are driven to provide evidence-based care to the communities we serve. We are transforming our care delivery system with a design focused on eliminating health disparities and improving outcomes for patients in our community and beyond.

We are seeking along with Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ a board-certified/board eligible, fellowship-trained physician to join our Division of Pediatric Pulmonology. This division embraces the care of all patients with pediatric lung disease including asthma, tracheostomy management, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and chronic lung disease. There is an active sleep medicine program with 2 sleep labs and an accredited Cystic Fibrosis center with all the ancillary services needed to support this program. We seek to develop an aerodigestive program in conjunction with pediatric ENT and pediatric gastroenterology as well. The successful applicants will share call and join the experienced pediatric pulmonologists of the division.

This position involves the best of both clinical and academic pediatric pulmonology, with diverse patients in multiple settings and comes with an academic appointment at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). We are partnered with NJMS to broaden the reach of our patient care and expand our ability to perform clinical research using the full scope of resources available in the school’s research support departments such as population health and statistics.

As a member of RWJBarnabas Health, the largest academic integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, the faculty member will be involved in further developing the pediatric endocrine medicine curriculum and serving as a teacher and mentor to pediatric residents and medical students.
