Blanchard Valley Health System welcomes you to be part of our dedicated team serving patients in Northwest & Central Ohio. We are seeking a full-time Sports Medicine physician with experience/training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation to join our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice.
- Welcome residents, fellows and experienced physicians
- High school and/or collegiate sports coverage experience REQUIRED
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals
- Manage acute and chronic conditions
- Treat wide range of muscular and skeletal injuries
- Perform EMGs, diagnose and manage non-operative fractures, sprains and concussions
- Conduct biomechanical examinations of patients, treatment plans, readiness for competition
- Provide common regenerative therapies, nonsurgical treatments, injections, diagnostic ultrasound
- Order and interpret results from laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
- Develop and supervise rehabilitation programs and medication management
- Identify risk factors for injuries
- Educate patients on injury management and prevention
- Provide athletic team and event coverage, including area high schools, colleges
- Saturday morning bump clinics for area athletes
- Office on-call rotation
- Base salary, wRVU bonus, loan assistance, signing bonus, relocation, CME stipend
- Loan support during or following training (your choice of monthly, quarterly or annual stipend)
BVHS Wellness Park, the NEW BVHS musculoskeletal facility offers orthopedics, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, podiatry, occupational/physical/speech therapy, outpatient lab and radiology. The facility is adjacent to primary care, endocrinology/diabetes management, rheumatology clinics.
