The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center located in Columbus, Ohio is recruiting one to two microsurgeons to complement our well-established team.
Highlights:
- Our current Division of Microsurgery has 7 full-time busy and talented microsurgeons with varied interests.
- Given the tremendous volume and growth in cancer reconstruction and orthoplastic collaborations, we are in need of additional microsurgeons to help perform breast reconstruction, complex extremity reconstruction, lymphatic surgery, foregut reconstruction, complex trunk reconstruction, as well as, complex calvarial and scalp reconstruction.
- An interest in basic science or clinical research is preferred, but not required.
- All academic ranks are welcome to apply.
- Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery Residency Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery
- Successful completion of an accredited Microsurgery Fellowship
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
About the Department:
- The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 20 full-time faculty, 6 faculty at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and 15 community faculty who are committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research and education.
- Our integrated residency has 4 residents per year and we also have one independent resident per year. We have two microsurgery fellows, a nerve and functional reconstructive fellow and one pediatric plastic surgery fellow.
- We are a referral center for central Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
- We provide comprehensive Plastic Surgery at the Wexner Medical Center including multiple ambulatory sites in the community and the James Comprehensive Cancer Center.
