Job Details:

Kettering Health is searching for a board-certified provider to become part of our Kettering Health Dayton Medical Education faculty for the Ophthalmology residency.  Our office is located on the Kettering Health Dayton hospital campus, providing close access to several provider resources.  Dayton, OH has greatly bloomed with new additions of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment attractions.  Be part of a great faculty team that has been providing exceptional education for several decades!   

Our Residency Mission:  The Ophthalmology Residency Program seeks to produce competent, compassionate, and current ophthalmologists through dedication to self-directed learning, progressive training in advanced surgical skills, and a lifelong commitment to advancement of surgical knowledge. We want to produce ophthalmologists who will improve the lives of patients and colleagues in the communities they serve. The Ophthalmology Program's multi-sub-specialty trained staff and physicians instruct the residents with the goal of achieving proficiency and excellence in services, education, and research. Over the course of their training, each resident develops competency and efficiency in the handling and use of technical equipment, surgical equipment as well as surgical lab skills under the supervision of qualified faculty and staff.

  • Flexibility in number of precepting hours  
  • Call not required, but available if participation is desired (currently in a group of 5 providers)
  • Conference Travel not required
  • We can accept candidates with a desire for part-time hours 
  • Must be board-certified 
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience post residency grad 
  • Participation in Didactics, faculty collaboration, and scholarly activities required
  • In-office procedure capabilities (Cataract, min-invasive glaucoma, etc.)
  • Kettering Health Dayton Medical Education is team-oriented and collaborative with highly engaged, friendly staff members
