Urology Physician - Jackson, MI

Henry Ford Health System located in Jackson, MI is growing and expanding to serve our community. We are recruiting for a full-time Urologist to join the hospital’s medical group in Jackson, MI. This opportunity allows a great work/personal life balance. Providers are seeing an average of 22 patients a day, with an average of 2 new patients per day. 2 days in OR with 2 ½ days in clinic.

Details of the practice are:

• 1:4 call rotation
• Exam rooms at each site: 6 rooms at West Michigan, 2 are procedure rooms, 6 rooms at Spring Arbor, 2 are procedure rooms.
  Practice site is within 8 minutes of the Hospital on West Michigan Ave, Jackson
• Support staff - 2 full time Advanced Practice Professionals (APP) and 1 part time, 1 full time for inpatient. 1 full time APP at Spring arbor and 1.5 at west Michigan. 5 Full time MAS and 3 full time front office staff.
• Equipment in the office/ procedures performed: Disposable cystoscopies, BCBG and Gemzar instillation, vasectomies, Uroflow procedures, Urodynamic studies, prostate biopsies, pessary insertion and management, urologic incontinence management, erectile dysfunction treatment.
  Only one hospital to consult.

Henry Ford Hospital - Jackson, partnered with the Henry Ford Health Systems (HFHS -Detroit Area) in April, 2016. Henry Ford Hospital, located in Jackson, Michigan entered our 100^th year May 2018. We have a new Innovation Center (adding State of Art Simulation & Research Labs / May 2017), new Surgical Patient Tower that added 66 private rooms Fall 2018, and implemented EPIC house wide (INPT & OUTPT) in 2016.

Our Emergency room treats over 70,000+ visits annually. We have a Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CUB (Cardiac Universal Bed), Radiation Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, Full Service line of Ortho (total joint, hand/wrist, foot/ankle, sports, podiatry), Physiatry (PM&R), Neurology and Neurosurgery Service Lines, OT/PT, Certified Stroke Center, in January 2015 we brought on Interventional Radiology and this past summer we developed a full service line for inpatient Physiatry (PM&R). 

Henry Ford Hospital - Jackson received an A rating (along with all hospitals within Henry Ford Health System). This ranks us among the safest hospitals in the United States. We are not your average “community hospital.” We are the hidden gem of Jackson and the only hospital in Jackson County, with the next smaller hospital being 20 miles north (St. Joes/Chelsea). We became a certified Trauma center in Spring 2017, and are the only Level II trauma within a 40 mile radius between 94 and 127 HWY. On April 6, 2015 we went live activating Trauma calls, with 24/7 coverage provided in-house coverage with a physician and advanced practice professional.

In 2013 when we developed a “community based GME Residency program” and today we have 117 residents on site; specializing in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Psych and Traditional Year. We are a dual accredited program as of 2017.
