Echocardiography Medical Director

TidalHealth located in Salisbury, MD, is seeking an Echocardiography Medical Director who is a Cardiovascular Disease physician that is Board Eligible or Board-Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) and National Board of Echocardiography Board-Certified in Echocardiography.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participation as a core faculty member for future cardiovascular disease fellowship program with anticipated start date of July 2025 (subject to ACGME approval).
• Serve as the clinical coordinator for echocardiography rotation for cardiovascular fellowship program.
• Serve as a lead for echocardiographic imaging for structural heart interventions at TidalHealth with a busy program including TAVRS, MitrClips, ASD/PFO occlusion and left atrial appendage occlusion procedures.
• Lead day-to-day operations for echocardiography department.

Key Requirements:   

• Clinically practicing physician with current board certification in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM) will be preferred. Although no prior leadership experience is required, it is preferred.
• Recent graduates will be considered but are preferred to have COCATS level III training in echocardiography.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Maryland
• Eligible for unrestricted Active Medical Staff Privileges Cardiovascular Disease
• Board-Certification from the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE)
• A skilled clinician who prioritizes patient-centered care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The understanding and ability to teach
• Demonstration of professional behaviors that allow the Medical Director to serve as a role model
• Demonstrate values and behaviors consistent with TidalHealth’s values and behavior standards
