WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our group in Michigan City, Indiana. The provider will join us at our multi-disciplinary cancer center at Franciscan Health Woodland Cancer Care Center Michigan City, and will primarily have an outpatient focus. This Advanced Practice Provider will join our established Northern Indiana contingent of Oncology Hematology Specialists. They will have support of an experienced local team of colleagues as well as the extended support and reputation of our Oncology Hematology Specialists team in Central Indiana, one of the pre-eminent oncology groups in Indiana.   

The Advanced Practice Provider will be a key component in the growth and development of the oncology service line in the Michigan City market area, alongside Franciscan Physician Network physicians, oncology nurse navigators, and other experienced oncology clinicians.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have hematology-oncology experience. The candidate will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient experience/satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and will desire to invest in the community, building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families. Provider will need to work collaboratively with physician to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • No call expectation
  • Anticipated outpatient volume: 15 - 20 patients per day
  • Most Common Cancer Diagnoses:
    • Breast
    • Colon
    • Lung
    • Rectal
    • Prostate
    • Benign Hematology conditions
  • Telehealth offered
  • Onsite lab

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Required
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) – Required - or
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification – Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required
