Regional Anesthesiologist in Charleston, South Carolina

The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking regional anesthesiologists. The Division comprises fourteen faculty. Division members rotate through two ambulatory surgical centers (West Ashley and Rutledge Tower) as well as two large teaching hospitals (the University Hospital and Ashley River Towers). The faculty is responsible for performing or training residents/fellows in a wide portfolio of regional anesthesia techniques. Last year over 10,000 procedures were performed. The division is in the process of having its fellowship in regional anesthesiology transitioning to ACGME accreditation.

Job Requirements:

  • Board Certified or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology is required
  • Completion of a fellowship in regional anesthesiology is required
  • Research experience and national recognition within the specialty are preferred
  • Eligible for South Carolina licensure
