Physician - Pathologist - Neuropath - Corewell Health East - Southeast Michigan

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Corewell Health East, formerly Beaumont Health, is recruiting for a neuropathologist (Full time OR PART time).  Responsibilities will be shared with another neuropathologist and sign out in 1-2 other subspecialties will be expected. Board certification/eligibility from the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in AP/CP or AP is required and board eligibility or certification in neuropathology is highly desirable.

Annually, the department performs approximately 150,000 surgical pathology accessions, 100,000 Pap tests and 22,000 non-gynecologic/FNA accessions.  The neurosurgery service is among the busiest in southeast Michigan with tumors, epilepsy, muscle biopsies and other types of specimens and we continue to improve our molecular neuropathology capabilities. Corewell Health East is aligned with Oakland University William Beaumont SOM where teaching of medical students, pathology residents and one also works with neurology and neurosurgery residents.  Improving collaborations with neuropathology in Corewell West in western Michigan occurs.  Research opportunities are available.
