The Department of Otolaryngology at Deaconess Clinic and Deaconess Cancer Center are seeking an outstanding Head and Neck surgeon to build and lead the first Head & Neck Cancer Program at Deaconess Health System. The ideal candidate would be a BC/BE physician who have completed an approved Head & Neck fellowship with 3+ years of experience who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary group of providers in developing and executing treatment plans for H&N cancer patients. He or she would also help develop, together with the members of the H&N cancer team, clinical protocols that will insure high quality of care and better outcomes for the patients. Research experience is preferred with an opportunity to open clinical trials pertinent to H&N cancers.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week. Includes an inpatient and outpatient practice. Call coverage will be determined on a per surgeon basis. Teaching opportunities available at IU Medical School Evansville. You will have an opportunity to invest in the Evansville Surgery Center, a joint venture with Deaconess and community surgeons. Fully implemented Epic electronic medical record for inpatient and outpatient. As an employee of Deaconess Clinic, you will experience a competitive salary ($525K base salary guaranteed for first 12 months, plus a sign on bonus ($100K for experienced H&N Surgeon and $50K for current H&N Fellows, some of which can be structured as a stipend while training)) and a comprehensive benefits package.
