Mercyhealth is seeking board certified Core Faculty Family Medicine Physicians in Rockford, IL. Excellent opportunity to teach residents and provide patient care.

Two positions available – General Family Medicine Core Faculty and Obstetric Family Medicine Core Faculty.

Mercyhealth is a multi-regional, integrated health system comprising of 7 hospitals, more than 900 employed physicians, over 80 outpatient clinics and other service sites that provide care to residents in more than 55 communities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We provide over 125 specialty and sub-specialty services, including adult and pediatric critical care, neonatal intensive care, neurosurgery, heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Da Vinci robotic surgery, Watchman, and much more!

Admitting Hospital:

Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital is located just off I-90 in Rockford IL.; is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and an ACS designated Level I Adult Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level III NICU, with advanced operating and surgery suites, including hybrid operating suites with real-time radiographic capabilities and state-of-the-art technology.

Opportunity:

• Craft your outpatient practice and share your expertise precepting residents.
• Backup call only
• Epic EHR
• Newborn rounding (in rotation with other faculty members)

Qualifications:

• MD/DO Board Certified
• Residency training from an ACGME accredited family medicine program.
  • OB Faculty only – Fellowship training in Obstetrics or have current obstetric practice.
• The ability to communicate clearly and work as a member of a team.
• A passion to teach residents and medical students in didactic/clinic setting.
  • OB Faculty only – includes hospital setting.
• Skilled in proving exceptional care for all ages.
• Previous faculty experience in an accredited residency or fellowship program is desired, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
