The Position
St. Lawrence Health is looking for full-time Otolaryngologists (General ENT) to join our team of dedicated providers!
- The ideal candidate will be BE within 5 years of completing residency or BC in Otolaryngology. Can be Canadian Board Certified.
- Otolaryngology services include but are not limited to:
- Chronic cough, ear surgery, ear tube surgery, facial plastics & reconstruction with free flaps, head and neck cancer, hearing loss, hoarseness, mouth lesions and tumors, pediatric ENT services, salivary stones, sinus surgery, tracheostomy, tracheal surgery of granulation tissue, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, reflux.
- The Physician will provide treatment and examination of patients during routine office hours and perform otolaryngology surgeries on patients as needed at the hospital.
- Weekly schedule can be flexible toward candidate needs/preferences – can be 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts.
- 3-4 days per week in the office with 1 day for surgery.
- 1:3 call including 1 weekend per month
- Approximately 20-26 patients per day/can be as busy as desired.
- Typical clinical staff coverage includes 2 LPNs, an ENT RN, and patient rep.
Financial Package
- Compensation: $473,000-$641,000*
- Signing Bonus: $25,000
- Relocation: up to $15,000

* Pay Summary: The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
In addition to the base pay range, certain provider positions may be eligible for variable compensation in accordance with health system pay practices. This may include: productivity and/or value-based clinical incentives, bonus compensation, or other forms of variable pay.

Core Hospitals
SLH is comprised of three hospitals and a number of outreach primary and specialty care practices throughout St. Lawrence County. Each practice is affiliated with one of our hospitals.
- Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs include emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center that is fully equipped to provide rapid and thorough trauma care to adults involved in physically traumatic situations.
- Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital certified for 25 beds. Services include emergency care, medical imaging and EKGs, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. GH also houses our comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation programs, including medicated assisted treatment, and behavioral therapies.
- Massena Hospital (MH) is a 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient, medical, surgical, and detoxification services in addition to emergency care. MH’s main campus also provides medical imaging and laboratory services, nutritional counseling, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, and inpatient physical and speech therapies. Outreach health centers offer the community cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, OB-GYN and women’s health, pediatrics, and primary care.
