Academic Hematopathologist

The Division of Laboratory Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic is recruiting an Academic Hematopathologist to join a diverse group of fourteen Hematopathologists.   This position will support the expanding clinical services within the Section of Hematopathology.  Candidates must be certified in AP, CP or combined AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology and be board certified/eligible in Hematopathology.  A minimum of three years academic experience is preferred, but recent graduates will also be considered.  The successful candidate will participate in our growing bone marrow, laboratory hematology, and lymphoma services and be familiar with flow cytometry and molecular hematopathology testing and interpretation. 

The Hematopathology Section provides expert diagnostic and consultative services for the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS) and is the central laboratory for CCHS hospitals in northeast Ohio.  Laboratories in the Section include the automated hematology/coagulation, manual hematology/coagulation, and flow cytometry laboratories.  The Section also supports a robust national and international consultative practice through Cleveland Clinic Laboratories.  The Section of Hematopathology is a dynamic, collaborative group and there is a rich mix of case materials, providing ample opportunity and support for clinical and translational research as well as teaching of students, residents, fellows, and allied health staff.  Academic appointment at a level commensurate with experience and accomplishments is available in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University.

The successful candidates will fulfill the above and have or demonstrate potential to develop a regional and national reputation in Academic Hematopathology.  They will be able to work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment to achieve the operational, financial, quality, research and education objectives of the Department and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
