Duke Cardiology has an opportunity for a talented Electrophysiologist to join an established community clinic in Lumberton, NC. The clinic is a partnership with UNC Health Southeastern Cardiology and Cardiovascular Care. The cardiology practice consists of three interventional cardiologists, one non-invasive cardiologist, and four advanced practice providers. Call is shared evenly among all group members. The practice includes:

  • Cardiac Cath Lab, Coronary and Peripheral Diagnostic and Therapeutic Interventions
  • Dedicated EP Lab to support catheter ablation and device implantation
  • Cardiovascular Imaging- echo, PVRs, carotids, arterial duplex, exercise and dobutamine stress testing
  • EECP
  • Ambulatory cardiac monitoring
  • Pacemaker and ICD Clinic
  • Number of patients currently managed with implanted devices
  • Call: 1:4

Candidates must be board certified in Cardiology and board certified/eligible in Cardiac Electrophysiology. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Electrophysiologist who seeks quality of life in a beautiful part of the Southeast US.

The clinic is a few blocks from the UNC Southeastern hospital, which is licensed for 452 beds with a CVICU, dedicated cardiology Progressive Care Unit, and 24/7 STEMI coverage for a regional population of 175,000. Duke physicians and surgeons of UNC Southeastern perform interventional procedures, electrophysiology procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, and cardiac surgery.

With a temperate but seasonal climate, southeastern North Carolina offers many opportunities to enjoy year-round outdoor activities. The city of Lumberton and surrounding communities offer a low cost of living and the amenities to enjoy work/life balance. Raleigh is an hour and a half away, Charlotte a little more than two hours, with a short drive to Pinehurst and North Carolina beaches. Public, private, and higher educational options are available.
