Rehabilitation Medicine: Pain Management: Non-Anesthesia

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, is seeking a BC/BE physiatrist for full time faculty position with training and interest in General and Neurologic Rehabilitation. This individual will be hired at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor (tenure or non-tenure track) based on experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fellowship training in Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury or Spasticity is preferred but not required. 

  • Qualified candidates will have a special interest in medical management of rehabilitation needs for neurologic, general and/or amputee patients, with procedural skills in spasticity management.  Electrodiagnostic procedures are available. 

  • Candidates should possess excellent clinical skills and a strong interest in education and research. Clinical and basic science research is encouraged and supported.  Laboratory facilities are also available.

 

Job Duties Outlined:

  • All faculty are required to take an active role in our integrated residency in PM&R.

  • Conduct PM&R specialty clinics in location(s) as determined.

  • Management of inpatient Rehabilitation unit service, inpatient consultation service, along with teaching and scholarly activity.

  • Collaborate with rehabilitation services and other departments as appropriate.

  • Lecture to PM&R residents and students. Also, attend Grand Rounds as scheduled.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified/ Board eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
