At Geisinger, we’ve been focused on advancing the future of health for more than a century. Today, we continue down the path of innovation by expanding our Musculoskeletal Institute, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education. Our mission at the Institute is to provide the highest-quality care, to improve mobility and to enhance the quality of life of our patients including professional, collegiate, and high school athletes in our communities. Advancing the science of orthopedic surgery and its related disciplines through research and education is at the forefront of our practice – reinforcing the mindset of “all things possible.”
As an orthopaedic surgeon in our program, you will join 85 physicians, 90 advanced practitioners and 575 employees, providing comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic foot and ankle, hand and wrist, elbow and shoulder, hip and knee, sports medicine, trauma and cancer conditions throughout the Musculoskeletal Institute. Through our affiliations, you will not only treat members of our communities but professional athletes including players for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (a Pittsburgh Penguin minor league hockey farm team) and the Scranton/ the Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (a New York Yankees MLB farm team). What you do at Geisinger shapes the future of health and improves lives – for our patients, communities, and you.
